Sandmeyer Steel Company continues to maintain our leadership position through our continued capital investments in state-of-the-art plate processing equipment.

We've done it again with the addition of a laser cutting system capable of processing stainless and Nickel Alloy Plate Parts through 1.25" (31.8mm).

The system is the newest and most advanced model in the oscillator-integrated laser cutting machine series. Our laser cutting center possesses superior functionality, productivity, ease of maintenance and a 6,000 watt CO2 gas laser oscillator.

It features a rack and pinion drive that is highly reliable while maintaining high cutting speeds and precision cuts. Cutting speeds vary from 1 to 3,000mm per minute. Our state-of-the-art laser cutting system is capable of cutting stainless and nickel alloy plates and unique patterns through 1.25" (31.8mm) thick.

Ultra high speed piercing up to .75" (19mm) and a gas optimization system enable the NC controller to cut different thicknesses of material without operator intervention.

Customers will benefit from this high speed cutting system with reduced cycle times and faster deliveries of light and intermediate thickness processed parts. Sandmeyer's laser cutting system can cut near-net shapes to the accuracy levels and the close tolerances our customer's require. The lack of any significant heat-affected zone enables Sandmeyer to nest patterns more closely for better plate yields when compared to plasma cut plate parts.
